Intention to Seek Selection as the PPC for The Wrekin Reform

Declaration of Intention to Seek Selection as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for The Wrekin

As we enter 2026, I want to speak directly to you the people of The Wrekin, with honesty, clarity, and purpose.

The past year was marked by profound personal loss. My mother died suddenly, and my closest friend lost his long battle with PTSD. Those experiences stripped life back to what truly matters and brought a clarity that cannot be ignored. Out of that clarity came renewed resolve, and a determination to continue a life of service, this time rooted firmly in our community.

It was during this period that I became more deeply involved with Reform UK. Through that work, I found not only direction, but a meaningful opportunity to help build something lasting for the people of The Wrekin. Together with committed members, volunteers, and supporters, we have grown the Wrekin Reform UK branch into a serious and credible organisation. What has been achieved so far has been a collective effort, driven by hard work, mutual trust, and shared purpose. I am deeply grateful for the confidence placed in me as Branch Chairman, and for the dedication shown by those who have helped build the foundations we now stand on.

Soon, Reform UK will open the formal application process for Prospective Parliamentary Candidates. In light of the work already underway, and with humility and respect for the process, I am formally stating to you my intention to seek selection when that process begins. This is not a claim of entitlement, but a request for your continued trust.

I believe I am well suited to represent The Wrekin because of the breadth and relevance of my experience. I bring a proven background in leadership, project planning, and delivery under pressure. Alongside this, I have practical experience as a business owner and in high-value personal investment banking, giving me a clear understanding of risk, responsibility, and decision-making. These skills are directly applicable to campaigning, representation, and effective parliamentary work. Along side this I am able to dedicate myself full time to earning trust across the constituency, building relationships, and preparing properly for the challenge ahead.

Crucially, I also have a detailed working knowledge of how Reform UK operates, not just at branch level, but across the county and within local government, gained through my role as the County Organiser. This means preparation is already in place, structures are understood, and momentum is established.

Equally important is my commitment to team-building. Winning a general election is never about one individual. It depends on a disciplined, capable, and trusted team. We are already strengthening that team by drawing on experienced SME's, professionals, and dedicated party members who will bring real-world knowledge and credibility to our campaign. I am proud of what has been built so far, and thankful to everyone who has contributed their time and energy.

My approach to public service is shaped by a clear understanding of responsibility and accountability. I was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross in Afghanistan, Britain’s second-highest award for gallantry, for acting decisively when others depended on me. I mention this not to dwell on the past, but because it reflects a mindset: when responsibility is given, it must be honoured fully. That principle continues to guide everything I do.

Our constituency needs visible, engaged representation, someone who shows up, listens, and acts. Too many people have experienced years of distance and minimal engagement from those elected to serve them. That cannot continue. Representation must be present, accountable, and rooted in the community it serves.

In preparation for the responsibility ahead, I am continuing to study politics to deepen my understanding of how systems function and where they fail. I am also researching and writing on serious local issues, so that concerns are understood properly and never ignored. This is about being ready from day one, not through individual brilliance, but because of disciplined preparation and the strength of the team around us.

A clear and realistic plan will underpin our campaign. It will provide structure and momentum as we prepare for what may be a long road to the next general election, potentially in 2029. I am confident not because of personal ambition, but because of what we have already built together as a branch.

I am proud to be British. Proud to be English. Proud to live in The Wrekin. And proud to align fully with Reform UK’s principles and policies. If you place your trust in me, I will work relentlessly to secure victory, and then to ensure that this constituency finally has a strong, consistent voice in Parliament: someone from this community, standing with you and speaking for you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far, and to those who continue to do so. If granted the honour of selection, I will treat that trust with the seriousness it deserves, and I will serve this branch and the people of The Wrekin with integrity, discipline, and respect.

Thank you.
