In a country weighed down by chaos, confusion and disorder, people need to be listened to. Not lectured. Not managed. Not handed another glossy leaflet full of promises that quietly expire the morning after polling day. Listened to — properly, and by someone who actually intends to do something about what they hear.
That is the promise I make to you, and it isn't a slogan. It's the way I've tried to live my life, and it's the way I intend to serve The Wrekin.
My ethos has been built on empathy, honesty and meaningful connection. I learned those things the hard way — through a difficult start in life, through eighteen years in the British Army, and through writing about people whose voices were ignored for far too long by the institutions that were supposed to protect them. I know what it costs when those in power stop listening. And I know what it takes to stand your ground when it matters.
So here is what I will fight for on your behalf.
I will fight for a country that controls its own borders, its own laws and its own future — because a nation that cannot decide who comes in and who goes out is not really a nation at all. I will fight for lower taxes on working people and small businesses, because the families and tradesmen of this constituency are taxed into the ground while billions are wasted on vanity projects, foreign aid and a bloated state that produces less and less for more and more. I will fight for an NHS that treats patients instead of protecting bureaucracy, for schools that teach children to think rather than to conform, and for police who are free to police — visibly, firmly, and without fear of the next political fashion.
I will fight for affordable energy, for our farmers, and for an end to the ideological obsessions that are driving up the cost of living and hollowing out the countryside. I will fight for our veterans, who were promised the world and handed a leaflet. And I will fight for the survivors of injustice in towns like ours, whose suffering was buried for decades because speaking the truth was deemed inconvenient.
Above all, I will tell you the truth — even when it isn't what you want to hear. I will not pretend that one MP can fix everything overnight, and I will not insult your intelligence by promising the earth. What I will promise is this: I will turn up, I will listen, I will speak plainly, and I will stand beside you with the same integrity I tried to carry in uniform.
You are not alone. You have not been forgotten. And in me, you have found a voice that is genuinely, unapologetically, on your side — every step of the way.
